SHIATSU
Shiatsu comes from
A Shiatsu treatment aims to reconnect the body with it owns desire to heal; the body always seeks its own harmony but as we lead our busy contemporary lives with our head, the body often is left behind with no time to access this ability. Through touch the areas of tension are pointed back to the receiver’s body, the body’s intelligence then will seek to rebalance itself.
Shiatsu is an “active” therapy where both the therapist and the client take part in creating body consciousness and wellbeing.
The therapist uses the thumbs, fingers and palms to apply pressure to the skin as well as gentle stretches to promote health and correct internal malfunctioning. Shiatsu is a whole body massage performed fully clothed on the floor and lasts approximately an hour.
Shiatsu is very relaxing and can be benefit a range of complains such as back pain, stress, headaches, whiplash injuries, neck stiffness, joint pain and reduced mobility.
