YOGA BY BANDHANA

<< Back

Yoga connects the mind and body. It has the wonderful ability to soothe tensions, release trapped energy, tone the body and improve your sense of well-being.

Yoga can be used in conjunction with many other sports, for example yoga helps improve lung capacity and helps to stretch the muscles before and after running.

It can help you access your full potential and change negative thought patterns by inviting positive thoughts into your mind.  Yoga allows you to feel comfortable in your own body by encouraging an attitude of self-acceptance.

Bandhana has been practising yoga for 11 years, and has been teaching for over two years.  She gained her level one teacher training certificate with one of the UK’s top teacher training courses, which is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga (British Wheel of Yoga is recognised by UK Sport).

Her classes are based on Hatha yoga, combining flow, dynamic and gentle yoga. Bandhana’s teaching style is to encourage her students to create a yoga practise that is built around their individual needs, using breath awareness to invite flexibility, strength, confidence and balance on and off the mat.

Yoga is non-competitive and there is no such thing as perfect yoga. The perfect asana (posture) is where you are at, at that present moment.  A well performed asana generates feelings of being grounded, balanced, self- nourished, energised and in control. Bandhana’s motto is ‘your body, your practise’…after all, you are unique.

Her bespoke yoga classes are held in the peaceful surroundings of the Royal Arsenal, as one-on-one sessions.   Please give us a call or send an email for more information.
