Clare Jansen bsc hons, itEc dip. massage
founder of the bodyworkshop
Growing up by the beach in New Zealand has given Clare a natural love of the outdoors and enthusiasm for an active and healthy lifestyle. Clare became inspired to learn the healing art of massage after experiencing it during her travels through India and Nepal.
She completed a diploma in Holistic Massage and established The BodyWorkshop in 2005, whilst studying for her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at King's College, London. Since then she has honed her skills in massage therapy through continued professional development in Deep Tissue, Indian Head, Japanese Acupressure, Pregnancy, Hot Stone, Hawaiian Kahuna and Thai Foot and Hand Massage.
Clare works intuitively and her unique skill is to tailor each treatment to the individual by using a combination of techniques to create a relaxing yet therapeutic massage that will leave the client feeling revitalised.
She obtained a first class honours degree in 2009, and will shortly be offering individualised dietary advice for weight loss, healthy eating and diet in pregnancy.
Clare is a State Registered Dietitian and a member of the British Dietetic Association and Health Professionals Council. As a massage therapist, Clare is a member of EMBODY and The Complimentary Therapists Association (CThA).
